The Roger Williams Park Botanical Gardens has established partnerships with many horticultural based non-profit organizations throughout the state. The following groups are providing their expertise and their volunteer labor to expand educational programs and opportunities as well as gardens at the Botanical Gardens. April 9 Cumberland Garden Club presents Sue Redden demonstrating floral table arrangements, with some creative table settings by members. Donation $5. 12:30 at the Arnold Mills Coomunity House, Hillside Road Cumberland. April 10th Angle Tree Garden Club presents Penny Decker with arrangements "Purely for Pleasure". Refreshments, bake table, silent auction, raffles at 11:30, program at 1pm at the United Methodist Church corner of routes 1 & 120, North Attleboro. Donation $10 April 19th The Portsmouth Garden Club presents "Millinery Modes and Impressions," featuring hats, some dating back to 1000BC at the Green Valley Country Club, Portsmouth, RI Luncheon ($25) at 12:30pm, with show following. May 8th Hameho Garden Club presents: "Springtime at the Village" a Small Standard Flower Show. 12 noon - 4pm at Bay Spring Village, 147 Bay Spring Avenue, Barrington, RI. May 13th Lincoln Garden Club will be running a trip to Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Tickets for the guided tour will be $43 and for the self-guided tour $36; gratuity for the bus driver included. May 19 - 21 National Convention, Biloxi, MS June 5 - 15 Barrington Garden Club's annual international garden your visits Ireland with tour leaders Sandi Tynk and Niamh Maddock. . The Federation of Garden Clubs has been meeting at Roger Williams Park for many years. They have contributed to the installation of irrigation around the Casino, to the Rose Garden restoration and will be sponsoring educational programs at the greenhouses.
